Tukamína is an independent ensemble founded in early 2019 in Frankfurt am Main. The musicians decided to create the band to merge the tonal and rhythmic elements of European music with the traditional/classical and jazz influences of Latin America. Their goal is to reflect the tonal diversity of Germany’s music scene while sharing and further developing the rich musical variety of Latin American traditions in Germany. This ensemble aims to break down cultural barriers and create spaces for musical interaction among communities of different nationalities.
